I knew when I saw this
traffic that I had to shoot
it for twenty minutes in
order to run it sped up at
20:1. I thought I would
have to speed it up and then
go normal speed for a while,
then speed it up again. But
because of the ways the cars
stop, I just sped it up.
The music is at normal
speed. They play it that
fast at the end of the song.It
was recorded in an Athens
restaurant and I have the
permission to use the music.
It is an old enough folk
song to not need the permission
of the composer, just the
musicians.

Clouds from the balcony of our Grand Mayan suite in Acapulco.
I cut off the corners to mask the fact that I made an error in the
shot composition. Part of the ceiling was showing in the upper right
corner. Some of the defects are really just birds flying across.
At over 7.500% of the original speed, it caused a bit of a problem.
I seem to be preoccupied with clouds lately.
This is from my Sony HDR-FX1
HDV camcorder, which is why
it is slightly larger than
the others.

These shots were taken at Epcot Center in "The Seas" exhibit. Amazing aren't
they. Such grace. My original clip was unretouched. In this replacement, I
extended the transitions and used a little slow motion just to make the footage
come out even with the music.

Sometimes it isn't about the editing. Sometimes it is just a pretty picture
that moves.

This is just the first of many clips from my Disney World vacation in May
2003. Yes, I know we went in May 2002 as well. We like it there!
All ambient sound. |

The video was entered into the Adobe Premiere "Reel" Festival and
Competition. I didn't win anything, but it is still the best video I had ever
done up to that point. It is a larger file and it uses a higher bandwidth than
my other videos. The contest was limited to 90 seconds at under 10MB. So I took
it right up to the limit. I used the WM8 encoder so that Mac users could watch
it as well. I hope you enjoy it. The music came from http://www.freeplaymusic.com/ before
they changed the rules.
