Laura and Steven
Gotz

Here is a
little more about us:
(That's us
in December 2004 on the island of Kauai in Hawaii - at the top
of Waimea Canyon.)
We live in
Clermont Florida.
(On the 7th tee of the Diamond
Player's Club Golf Course)
Steven is a
Senior Systems Engineer for JDSU.
Laura is currently
too busy working on the new house
and getting used to Florida to
go back to work just yet.
Steven is a video
enthusiast who started out as just another telecommunications Systems Engineer
who spent too much time in front of a PC and needed a creative outlet. When he
discovered that shooting video while on vacation could be combined with some of
his PC skills, he took to editing like a duck takes to water. And he decided
that taking Laura on vacations to wonderful places so she could relax and he
could shoot video was a win-win situation. He still sits in front of a PC way
too much, but now it is for something the whole family can
enjoy.
Suffering through using many different Non-Linear Editing tools,
he finally latched on to Adobe Premiere 6.0 and never looked back. But as he
learned more and more about video editing, his personal list of favorite web
sites soon grew too large to sort through, and he created his web site dedicated
to the users of Adobe Premiere (since rededicated to the Adobe Premiere Pro
User). Steven sometimes wonders if his hobby has changed from shooting and
editing to helping other people learn to edit, however, he thoroughly enjoys the
interaction with forum members and visitors to his web site and checks in
to many
different forums as often as possible.
Steven
received contributing writer credit for the PeachPit Press book "Premiere Pro 1.5 for Windows : Visual QuickPro Guide",
providing the information required to upgrade the previous version to Premiere
Pro 1.5.
And he produced Learning Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 for the lynda.com
online learning library.™ Learning Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 with Steven
Gotz is a movie-based tutorial designed to teach beginning users how to make the
most of Adobe’s non-linear video editing application. The tutorial starts out
with basic skills such as creating a new project, capturing footage, basic
editing, and adding effects, and then moves on to more advanced topics such as
exporting a project to different formats. The tutorial's sample footage allows
users to start editing right away and practice turning raw footage into a
finished product. Click on the link above to view the free sample movies, then
either sign up for web based training or the dvd.
